Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: 13 November 2025 (Australia/Adelaide)
Who we are: Michelle Harpas (“we”, “us”, “our”) — michelleharpas.com
How to contact us: support@michelleharpas.com
We do not sell your personal information for money. Some advertising and analytics partners may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioural advertising under the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA) and similar US state laws. This page lets you opt out of that sharing and manage related choices across regions.
Quick actions
- Opt out of advertising cookies/pixels now
Use our preference centre to turn off the Advertising/Retargeting category.
→ Manage Cookie Preferences (opens consent banner) - Global Privacy Control (GPC)
If your browser sends a GPC signal, we treat it as an opt-out of advertising “sharing” where legally recognised. No extra steps needed. - Email request (backup method)
If the banner isn’t available (e.g., strict blockers), email hello@michelleharpas.com with subject “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information” and include your browser/device. We’ll apply an opt-out using reasonable methods.
EU/UK & Australia — how this page applies
- EU/UK (GDPR + ePrivacy/PECR): We set non-essential cookies (Analytics, Advertising/Retargeting) only after your consent via our banner. You can withdraw consent at any time in Manage Cookie Preferences (footer). You also have the right to object to direct marketing and related profiling. See our Cookie Policy for categories/vendors and our Privacy Policy for your rights and how to exercise them.
- Australia (APPs / OAIC): We follow the Australian Privacy Principles. Where tracking involves personal information, we provide notice and seek consent where required. Manage your choices in the preference centre and your browser. See our Privacy Policy for contacting us or the OAIC about a concern.
What “sell” and “share” mean here (US state privacy laws)
- Sell: disclosing personal information for monetary consideration. We do not sell personal information.
- Share (CPRA): disclosing personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising (e.g., ad platforms using cookie/pixel data to show you ads on other sites). You can opt out of this by disabling Advertising/Retargeting cookies or using GPC.
Categories that may be considered “shared” for advertising (only if you consent to advertising cookies/pixels):
- Online identifiers (cookie IDs, IP address, device IDs)
- Internet/network activity (pages viewed, clicks, referrers)
- Approximate location (derived from IP)
How to opt out (step-by-step)
Method 1 — Preference Centre (recommended)
- Click Manage Cookie Preferences in our footer or banner.
- Disable Advertising/Retargeting (and Analytics if you want fewer third-party tags overall).
- Click Save preferences.
- Your opt-out is stored for this browser/device. Repeat on others you use.
Method 2 — Global Privacy Control (GPC)
- Enable GPC in a supported browser/extension.
- We treat GPC as an opt-out of sharing for that browser automatically.
- You can still refine categories in the preference centre.
Method 3 — Email (if banners are blocked)
- Email hello@michelleharpas.com with subject “Do Not Sell/Share My Personal Information.”
- Include the URL, browser, device, and (if possible) a screenshot.
- We’ll follow up and apply an opt-out using reasonable alternatives.
Your rights & how to use them
US (CPRA and similar)
Depending on your state, you may have rights to: opt out of sale/sharing/targeted advertising; access/know, correct, or delete your personal information; appeal a decision; and limit use of Sensitive Personal Information (SPI). We do not use SPI to infer characteristics or for advertising. We respond to verified requests within the legal timeframe (typically 45 days, extendable where permitted). Submit requests at hello@michelleharpas.com.
